Jeffrey Gaines Scholarship for the Performing Arts

This scholarship provides financial assistance to a student enrolled at Harrisburg Area Community College.

1. Preference will be given to students enrolled in the following HACC programs:

• Film and Theatre – Associate in Fine Arts (AFA) (2500)

• Music Audio and Recording Technology – Diploma (0161)

2. Preference will be given to students with unmet need.

The following program is being completely sunset, meaning it will no longer be offered at HACC after the phase-out of fall 2026:

• Film and Theatre Associate in Fine Arts

All students in this program will be advised and supported throughout the program’s teach-out. A teach-out allows current students to finish their program after it has been closed, so they can complete what they started instead of being forced to transfer or stop.

Qualified students in the Film and Theatre Associate in Fine Arts Program can apply for this scholarship funding while enrolled at HACC and as long as there is a fund balance. After the last student completes the Film and Theatre Associate in Fine Arts Program and if there is an appropriate fund balance, this scholarship fund will be available to students in this program only:
