William A. Nelson Scholarship

This scholarship was established by The HACC Foundation in recognition of William A. Nelson’s leadership in launching the first golf classic tournament and provides an annual scholarship to a student currently employed in the James Evans Physical Education Center who has demonstrated leadership, initiative and responsibility.

1. Students must be enrolled at HACC with a minimum of 10 credits.
2. Students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5.
3. Preference will be given to students employed in the James Evans Physical Education Center for a minimum of 12 hours per week and 12 weeks prior to the date of the application. Students must submit an essay that demonstrate leadership, initiative, and responsibility in providing service to students and faculty at the James Evans Physical Education Center.
